As the name suggests, 'East' glasses, or verres 'Est' in French were the typical glasses in eastern French bars and cafés of the late 19th century.
This glass stands tall compared to other glasses, at 7.5 inches, and has a wide rim of 10cm. These glasses are perfect for sitting back, relaxing and the admiring the louche of your favourite absinthe. To fully appreciate the aroma of any fine spirit it's important to have enough room for air above the drink for the bouquet to completely develop; the ample space in these particular East glasses makes them ideal for enjoying the finest absinthes. A pleasing weight in the hand.
This hand-blown replica of a 19th century original is of superior quality.
