Absinthe Un Emile 68 Blanche - 68%
Refreshing and stimulating flavours from the oldest traditional absinthe from the Emile Pernot distillery.
Un Emile 68 Blanche is the sister absinthe to the benchmark Un Emile 68 Verte. It is based on the same traditional 19th century recipe but without any coloration step, leaving it crystal clear. Absinthes “Vertes” and “Blanches” were already popular during the Belle Époque, Vertes were coveted for their herbal and tonic taste, while Blanches were aimed at consumers looking for a more refreshing and feminine drink. Un Emile 68 Blanche distinguishes itself from the Verte by the even more powerful impact of its Pontarlier wormwood, combining delightfully with the fruity and stimulating green anise.
To fully enjoy Un Emile 68 Blanche's flavours and particularly the full potential of the Pontarlier wormwood, it must be served in the traditional way - by very slowly dripping iced water over a sugar cube cradled on an absinthe spoon. It can of course also be served without sugar, at your convenience, but in all cases, add the iced water very, very slowly. We recommend 3 to 4 doses of water for one dose of absinthe if you wish your drink to be powerful in terms of herbal flavour, and 5 to 6 doses of water if you prefer a more refreshing drink.
