Absinthiades 2010 - Bronze MedalAbsinthe La Veuve Verte pays homage to a true family tradition. It is produced only in very small quantities and represents without doubt one of the very best Swiss « Vertes ».

La Veuve Verte is artisan-distilled using only the finest natural herbs, and its all natural coloration includes only plants from the Val-de-Travers : Petit Wormwood, Hyssop, Melissa and several others that must be kept secret.

This traditional Verte has a wonderful mixture of bold wormwood character and anise mellowness, and is absolutely worth discovering!

Nice smooth and not to strong. Great to share with friends. Puts a smile on a party!

Impeccable, outstanding absinthe.

Before louche: traditional peridot green. Has a simple aroma.
Before louche pt 2: now oddly enough, the absinthe changed it's color after a couple of days in between tasting. It now has a light amber tint. Remarkable.

Louche: Builds from the bottom of the glass spiraling upward in the form of clouds. Leaving the remaining initial color at the top becoming engulfed by the opaque. Very pleasant

Taste: The taste is very simplistic. However that certainly doesn't mean it lacks depth. In a matter of fact it is the most dimensional absinthe I have ever had. The drink is very clean and the herbs cohere perfectly together. Premium wormwood and anise.

Final: This is the best absinthe I've had yet. Anybody with a remote interest in absinthe NEEDS to try this.
