L'Italienne is the first commercially available premium distilled absinthe from Italy, batch
distilled in small quantities by Stefano Rossoni at Distilleria Alpe in the beautiful Valle d'Aosta,
near the French border.
We're enormously impressed with this absinthe, which is classically made, without shortcuts,
and without compromises by a true afficianado of La Fée Verte.
L'Italienne uses a lighter, Italian wormwood from Piemonte, which allows the floral character to
dominate the blend. All the rest of the fine-quality herbs used in its production are grown at a
natural park in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. Since its limited release, it has won
praise from absintheurs everywhere with its 'room-filling floral fragrance'. The newly released
second editon shows a distinct improvement in louche and mouthfeel, even though the anise
content is unchanged.
Quantities of this second edition are very limited so order early to avoid disappointment!

while the other herbs come from a private farmer in Emilia Romagna who focuses on obtaining the finest qualities by growing
botanicals in a natural enviroment and without pesticides. There is absolutely no comparison between these herbs and the standard
commercially available product - very few absinthe manufacturers are able to obtain herbs of this standard.
